Custard Pie Puppet Show at Athlone Castle as part of Crinniú na NÓg

Athlone Castle Visitor Centre will stage an entertaining and engaging ‘Medieval Puppet Show’ through collaboration with ‘Custard Pie Puppets’ and their renowned ‘Punch and Judy’ performance at three separate periods throughout the day – at 1.30pm, 3.00pm, and at 4.00pm on Saturday 15th June 2019.

Bloom’s Day Recital

Athlone Castle celebrated Bloomsday by having an exciting literary recital with several of Athlone’s well known writers, who read passages from some of James Joyce’s famous novels on June 16th.

Join us at around 2:30pm in the courtyard of Athlone Castle to celebrate Bloomsday; walk with Leopold and Mollie Bloom through theatre, song, readings and writings.
