National Heritage Week 2015 at Athlone Castle

National Heritage Week 2015 took place from Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th August.

There was an Open Day at Athlone Castle along with Storytelling by Danielle Alison and music By Athlone Pipe Band in the Castle Courtyard.

Donal O’Brien provided a talk and photographic exhibition on “Vanished Houses of Westmeath” taken from his book “The Houses and Landed Families of Westmeath”
